The British Frozen Food Federation’s (BFFF) People Awards will return as a Covid-secure virtual event in September, with new categories to celebrate the unsung heroes of the frozen food industry.

Richard Harrow, BFFF chief executive, said: “Following an incredibly challenging year these awards are the perfect opportunity to reward those who have gone above and beyond for their businesses, their communities and the frozen food sector.

“The role frozen plays in tackling issues such as food waste has never been more important, so giving those working tirelessly behind the scenes a morale boost in this way is therefore equally important.”

There are eight categories, including a new Pandemic Hero Award for this year. All entries will be judged by a panel which represents the full breadth of the industry, from HR to senior management.

The deadline for entries is July 30.
