The Institute of Refrigeration has announced Andrea Voigt as the first keynote speaker for the 2026 IRC Business Briefing, Securing the Future of RACHP in a Volatile Electricity Market. Her keynote will examine the true cost of maintaining an energy system amid the commercial risks of rising electricity volatility, while also highlighting the opportunities created through early adaptation and investment.
Speaking ahead of the event, Andrea said “Sustainability is no longer just a nice to have. It’s a strategic lever. In a world of volatile electricity prices and geopolitical tension, how you invest today in RAC and HP equipment will define how resilient your business will be tomorrow.”
With two decade’s experience in energy efficiency and decarbonisation technologies, Andrea has been a leading advocate for sustainable heating and cooling solutions, influencing policy and industry practice at both EU and global levels.
The one‑day executive briefing will take place on 26 November 2026 at Austin Court, Birmingham. The programme will translate complex energy‑system change into clear commercial actions, helping delegates protect margins, futureproof assets, and identify new opportunities in an increasingly flexible, decentralised power market.
