Worcester Bosch has officially launched its ‘Skill Up Training Programme,’ a comprehensive four-level training pathway designed to take traditional gas installers into certified heat pump experts.
With the UK heating market evolving alongside legislative changes such as the Clean Heat Market Mechanism (CHMM), the demand for heat pump engineers is growing. The Skill Up Programme directly addresses this by offering a structured, step-by-step development journey to build installer confidence and support business diversification.
It’s split into four modules, allowing installers to build their knowledge step by step at their own pace, combining flexible online modules with hands-on learning at Worcester Bosch training academies:
- Level 1 Foundations - master the basics of heat pump technology, system components and installation best practices.
- Level 2 Installer - go deeper into installation techniques, get qualified and install with support.
- Level 3 MCS-Ready Installer - learn the requirements to become MCS registered.
- Level 4 Expert - achieve full mastery of refrigeration circuits, split heat pump installations and system diagnostics.
Install heat pumps with support for circa £800 (completion of level 2) or complete the full programme for circa £2,000. In addition, Worcester Bosch loyalty programme members can use points towards their Skill Up training.
