Thermal battery manufacturer Sunamp is to supply its Thermino heat batteries to Trianco, the UK heating and hot water equipment vendor, as part of a game-changing heat pump package that is set to revolutionise the renewable energy industry. It is the first time a heat pump brand has chosen to offer a fully comprehensive package solution that exclusively includes a heat battery over other forms of thermal storage.
By matching ActivAir heat pumps with Sunamp’s Thermino heat batteries, Trianco’s package solution is simple to specify, procure and install. Thanks to the compact size of the heat battery and reduced number of components, the ActivAir Plus package is easy to handle and arrives on one single pallet, significantly reducing packaging waste and simplifying logistics. It offers installers, landlords and homeowners a one-stop-shop and one delivery solution for transitioning to renewable heating systems.
Key benefits of ActivAir Plus package solution:
- Comprehensive and convenient: Customers will save time and effort in purchasing ActivAirheat pumps and Thermino heat batteries together with all other necessary components from a single source, eliminating the need to engage with multiple vendors. The package with everything needed for a successful install arrives on one pallet, avoiding the need for multiple deliveries.
- Futureproof: ActivAir Plus comes PV ready, which means that solar panels can be added to the system at a later stage without the need to replace any major components. It also comes with a mobile app to enable remote control of the ActivAir heat pump, a feature that makes it easy for landlords and homeowners to manage energy use efficiently.
- Saves time and money: The integrated solution offers energy efficient performance and cost savings for installers and property owners. By procuring all the necessary components from a single provider, customers can benefit from economies of scale, competitive pricing, and simplified logistics, resulting in overall cost reduction.
- Less waste: With a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, the ActivAir Plus solution is designed to minimise waste. By including all the necessary components into a single package which is delivered on one pallet, unnecessary packaging materials are eliminated, making handling easier and lowering the carbon footprint associated with the installation process.
Sunamp CEO Andrew Bissell said: “I’m delighted Trianco has chosen Sunamp as the go-to thermal storage solution for heat pump systems. ActiVair is a great heat pump, and introducing the ActivAir Plus package simplifies specification, installation and logistics associated with the transition to renewables, all pain points identified by the industry, and will accelerate decarbonisation of heat as a result. It’s a win for everyone."
Peter Beighton, Trianco managing director, said: “We are excited at the prospect of working alongside Sunamp and believe this is a perfect package solution to suit UK housing, with the Sunamp Thermino being around four times smaller than an equivalent cylinder. Trianco and Sunamp will be offering free product training at our Rotherham base along with subsidised MCS training through NAPIT training centres.”
James Robson, Chief Investment Officer at RM Funds, investors in Trianco, said: “The path to low carbon home heating solutions is a key part of the RM Funds environmental infrastructure investment thesis. As the sponsor of Trianco, we see them at the forefront of the development and distribution of innovative Electric Boiler and Air Source Heat Pump solutions. Data shows that approximately 14% of carbon emissions within the UK are derived from domestic heating and their combined products will assist in meeting our national net zero emissions targets. The combination of the size of the Sunamp battery, combined with the Trianco Air Source Heat Pump should be compelling for any owner of housing stock.”
The ActivAir Plus package is now available through installers nationwide or may be purchased directly from Trianco.
