J & E Hall's JCC cellar cooler range now has an extended pipe run on its range, the manufacturer announced last week.

The pipe run extension can now run up to 25 metres between indoor and outdoor units. J & E Hall's testing on the 'plug and play' units showed that could easily handle the extra capacity needed to handle longer pipes without affecting their performance or operating efficiency.
“Our customers wanted it – especially those working in city and town centres. There are sometimes restrictions on siting of equipment and the distance between the indoor and outdoor units can be lengthy. Ideally you want to keep pipe runs as short as possible but there are occasions when you simply cannot site the outdoor unit near the indoor unit,” said J & E Hall Product Support Manager Andy Wells.

“We listened to what our customers had to say, realised it would make a real difference and embarked upon a programme of testing. The result is that there is now much more scope on the pipe runs and in real terms this can make the job considerably easier for the installer.”
The J & E Hall JCC unit capacities range between 2.87 and 5.82kW. The cellar coolers use R410A refrigerant and have six fins per inch brewery specification evaporator coils. The coolers are sold pre-charged with refrigerant for pipe runs up to 7.6m.

The units, designed for keeping beer and wine cool, can also be used to fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and dairy products, cool.
