Critical cooling manufacturer Airedale by Modine has introduced the Barkell Modular air handling unit (AHU), a scalable, pre-configured unit available in nine pre-selected sizes, with capacities of up to 6.5m3/s.

Airedale says the Barkell Modular AHU has been designed with lead time, sustainability and scalability as a priority, and will serve UK customers seeking an efficient solution without the complexities of a bespoke design. It has pre-wired controls to reduce installation time onsite, and is fitted with ISO ED 16890 quality filters to offer the best protection against low particulate matter, for enhanced indoor air quality. The low-noise design ensures that application-specific acoustic requirements are met.

Barkell Modular AHUs offer heat recovery of up to 90% and have EC fans fitted as standard, delivering maximum air flow performance with a significant reduction in energy consumption in comparison with equivalent AC fans. CIBSE TM65 calculations are available on request for all Barkell AHUs.

The pre-configured solution comes with a range of component options to suit different applications and its modular design allows customers to adjust options in line with project specific requirements.”

The Barkell Modular AHU is optimised for multiple coil, filter and heat recovery permutations and serves a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
