The Samsung system has been installed at the Cumberland Building Society

A building society in Carlisle has been refurbished with a new heating and cooling system from Samsung.

The previous units installed at the Cumberland Building Society needed to be removed as they did not provide even temperatures and air flow across the office space.

Refrigeration Mitton, an air conditioning supplier, was asked to provide a system that not only ensured a comfortable air temperature, but also reduced draughts and increased air flow across the office.

Because of the optimised blade design of Samsung's Split Wind-Free Cassette system, the air conditioner cools the room rapidly. Then, when in Wind-Free operation, the air is gently dispersed via thousands of microholes into the space to provide unrivalled comfort.

Alex Mitton, Director at Refrigeration Mitton, said: “The project was to supply new systems to office areas that were being taken over and refurbished by the building society. There were existing systems to remove that were large wall-mounted units but would not provide even temperatures and air flow across the office space.

“We selected the Split Wind-Free Cassette systems to achieve draught-free comfort. The project took two weeks to complete, with everything running smoothly, the client was very pleased with the result.”

Steve Fleming, Head of Air Conditioning at Samsung, said: “It’s great to see that our Wind-Free range is continuing to be a popular choice for many installers and projects. At Samsung we pride ourselves on innovation and providing a wide range of choice for installers.”
