A Williams Multideck

The new blast chiller range from Williams Refrigeration gets its first public outing in the Catering Equipment Expo at The Restaurant Show at London Olympia (October 2-4), alongside the manufacturer's latest Multideck.

Williams says the new blast chiller/freezer is faster, more energy efficient, simple to operate and offers a greener system thanks to the use of natural refrigerant.

A reduction in chilling and freezing times is said to help deliver significant savings in energy compared with previous models.

Further energy savings can be achieved by using the food probe sensor, since it switches the blast chill cycle to storage as soon as the food reaches the required temperature.

For the latest Multideck, a combination of re-engineered airflow features, heat exchangers and green refrigerant is said to produce Williams’ most energy efficient Multideck units to date.

The version on stand UH01 also has doors – in tests, these saved up to 60% in energy costs compared to open-fronted models. Visitors will also be able to check out the range of customisation options available.

Meanwhile, over on the Nelson stand, GG31, visitors will be able to see a Williams Meat Aging Refrigerator (MAR) and the updated Onyx CPC2 prep station. Williams staff will be on hand throughout the show to discuss all aspects of restaurant refrigeration with visitors.
