One of Walthamstow’s leading junior football clubs has received boost after netting the support of a prominent local business.
Leading heating, plumbing and air movement materials supplier TG Lynes has backed Walthamstow FC’s Under-14s who will proudly wear the name of TG Lynes on their shirts for the 2022/23 season as they bid for glory in the Eastern Junior Alliance League.
Club secretary Richard William s said: “Any money we can bring in is a huge boost and allows us to offer first-rate football opportunities to young people in the area. The boys will be proud to wear the TG Lynes logo on their shirts.”
Walthamstow FC, in association with Ryan FC, has produced a string of professional footballers over the years, most notably Premier League striker Dwight Gayle.
TG Lynes, which this year celebrates its 110th anniversary, has a long history of supporting charities, sports clubs and community groups close to its Enfield headquarters. Marketing manager Laura Janaway said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Walthamstow FC’s Under-14s. It’s a fantastic club which provides quality grassroots sport for hundreds of young people across various age groups.''
