Safe Monitoring Group acquires CPC (UK)

Safe Monitoring Group (SMG) has completed the purchase of refrigerant gas detection manufacturer and service provider CPC (UK) from Carter Thermal Industries Group.

SMG acquired 100% of the share capital of the business and says the move will continue the expansion of its work to ensure safe and efficient use of gases and support the industry in its transition to natural refrigerants.

Carter Thermal Industries Group, an engineering business with an 80-year history, is perhaps best known for its work with supermarket refrigeration and building services. CPC (UK) was founded in 1989 as a division of Carter Synergy and is a leading provider of specialist leak detection equipment for UK supermarkets. In recent years it has expanded into other refrigerant gas leak detection markets both in the UK and overseas.

As part of Safe Monitoring Group, CPC will collaborate with the group of companies in areas such as R&D, marketing, procurement, sales and service.
