ADVERTORIAL

Rapid Energy, a leading provider of temporary heating and cooling solutions, has officially achieved Gold Certification from Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ), marking a major milestone in its commitment to sustainability and long-term Net Zero goals.

Built on a reputation for responsiveness, reliability, and results, Rapid Energy is trusted to keep businesses running when failure is not an option. Now, the company is applying that same level of dedication to climate responsibility, with a verified carbon-neutral certificate that reflects both action and accountability.

Rigorous, independent verification

The certification follows an independently verified analysis of Rapid Energy’s full organisational and operational carbon footprint for the 2023-2024 reporting period, conducted in line with ISO-14064 standards. The audit covered all three scopes of greenhouse gas emissions, including company vehicles, electricity consumption, business travel, remote working, procurement, waste, and water usage.

Key findings include:

  • Scope 1 (Direct emissions): Company vehicles represented 13.7% of emissions.
  • Scope 2 (Indirect energy emissions): Electricity use accounted for 0.4%.
  • Scope 3 (Other indirect emissions): 85.9% of emissions came from purchased goods and services, travel and commuting, downstream deliveries, site activities, and waste.

Tangible action already underway

Reaching Gold Certification required more than just measurement. Rapid Energy has already taken significant steps to cut emissions, including:

  • Transitioning its vehicle fleet to electric and renewable-powered solutions.
  • Introducing a cycle-to-work scheme to encourage sustainable commuting.
  • Upgrading facilities with LED lighting and improved waste management protocols.
  • Offsetting 100% of 2023-24 emissions through high-quality, internationally recognised schemes such as Gold Standard.

Looking forward: commitment to Net Zero by 2050

Rapid Energy’s certification marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to reduce emissions by 90% by 2050, with transparent annual reporting along the way. Future initiatives include:

  • A supply chain compliance programme to track and reduce upstream emissions.
  • Ongoing energy and water reduction across all operational sites.
  • Deployment of low-impact, high-efficiency heating and cooling technologies for client projects.
  • Exploring a zero-waste-to-landfill policy to further minimise environmental impact.

A promise to clients

Rapid Energy supports critical industries, from hospitals and laboratories to construction and manufacturing, where operational continuity is essential. The company says that, with this certification, clients can be confident they are working with a partner that is equally committed to performance and sustainability.
