Johnson Controls has promoted Frank van der Heijden as General Manager for Industrial Refrigeration, Cooling, Heating and Energy Solutions for UK and Ireland, combining this with his current role of General Manager for Industrial Refrigeration across the Benelux region.

He will aim to to further strengthen Johnson Controls' position in the industrial refrigeration market, in particular increasing market share of its YORK and SABROE brands.

van der Heijden joined Johnson Controls five years ago and previously held various management positions in Benelux, including that of Managing Director for Engie Refrigeration, where he had responsibility for more than 300 employees.

This recent appointment is said to be the result of a drive for greater co-operation between Johnson Controls’ different industrial refrigeration regions in Europe, which is headed by David Dorney, Vice President and General Manager.
