Industry mourns loss of Murray Sharp

Tributes have been paid to Murray Sharp, managing director of air conditioning and refrigeration distributor Kooltech, who died suddenly, aged 55.

Murray, the son of Kooltech’s founder John Sharp, was described as an inspiration to many people by Jonathan Brown, Kooltech's commercial sales director.

Announcing the news on Linkedin, he said: "Murray will be sorely missed by everyone in the Kooltech family and the industry as a whole. Murray was such an inspiration to so many people. What he’s achieved is remarkable, he also made many people's lives so much better.

"Murray was such a family man, the most generous person that would always help anyone he could. On a personal note, Murray has guided me through thick and thin, both in my personal life and in business. Such a loss of an incredible person.''

Julie Murray, Kooltech’s regional product sales manager and the former president of IOR Scotland, said: “Murray will be sorely missed. He touched the lives of so many people and was respected by all.”
