Alan Macklin, Group Technical Director at Elta Group, has been appointed as the new Vice-President of HEVAC, the trade association for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Chairman of the Fan Manufacturers Association since 2016, Alan is a fan engineer with a 41-year career in the ventilation industry, having broad experience in residential, commercial, industrial, mining and AHU sectors. He is actively involved in producing standards, being a member of MCE/017 (Fans), ISO/TC117 (Fans) and FSH/025-05 (Smoke fan working group).
Macklin commented: “I am delighted to be taking on this position. The importance of good quality indoor air is very much in the spotlight and HEVAC will play a crucial part in ensuring our indoor spaces provide a clean and healthy environment. I hope my years of industry experience will help HEVAC’s member companies remain at the heart of shaping the industry for the future.”
