After initiation in September 2020, the sale of BOCK GmbH from GEA to international financial investor NORD holdings has now received approval from the relevant antitrust authorities. In addition to the headquarters in Frickenhausen, Germany, the transaction also included the China, India, and the Czech Republic subsidiaries. Following the sale, the compressor manufacturer now operates on the market as an independent company under the new name Bock GmbH.

"We see the new constellation with NORD Holding, a partner with experience in medium-sized companies and a long-term orientation, as offering the best opportunities to expand our business sustainably and profitably," said Axel Scherrieble, managing director of Bock GmbH. "For our customers and partners, nothing will change except for a new e-mail ID. Existing business relationships will continue as before - including the responsible contact persons in our company. Our complete product portfolio and our comprehensive service and support services will also be available without restriction.

"In close cooperation with our customers, we will consistently develop the traditional Bock brand with a view to technology, quality and innovation leadership and take it to the next level of success. Our focus is primarily on environmentally friendly and economical compressor technologies for the use of natural refrigerants such as CO2 (R744), hydrocarbons and other low-GWP refrigerants."
