Eurovent has released updated versions of two guidance documents for commercial refrigeration equipment, with both including critical updates on refrigerated cabinets.
Eurovent says it has revised the recommendations to offer clear guidance for manufacturers, distributors, and end-users. It adds that he practice of placing incomplete refrigeration units on the market, units not equipped with essential components or deviating from declared product performance, has raised significant concerns across the refrigeration sector.
Recommendation 14/6, third edition, provides guidance on the interpretation of Regulations (EU) 2019/2018 and 2019/2024, while Recommendation 14/7, second edition, aims to facilitate the work of the Market Surveillance Authorities. Both documents have been updated to clarify definitions of ‘complete’ and ‘incomplete’ delivery and to incorporate the FAQ of the European Commission recently published.
