Eurovent has released a new recommendation on moisture recovery in ventilation and air conditioning systems. It is designed for investors and HVAC professionals who design combined ventilation and air conditioning systems.

The recommendation discusses the application of moisture recovery from extract air in general ventilation and combined ventilation and air conditioning systems. It provides a comprehensive overview of available heat and moisture recovery technologies, sets out principles for their correct application and explains the benefits of moisture recovery in terms of energy and cost savings, as well as improved Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ).

Vice-Chairperson of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Energy Recovery Components’ (PG-ERC), Rikard Lindbom, stated: “We are pleased to have finalised this Recommendation, guiding our industry, customers, and authorities on the sustainability and IAQ potential provided by energy and moisture recovery systems. This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of the industry, and I am proud of the outcome.
