Authors have until September 20 to submit abstracts for presentation IIR International Rankine 2020 Conference in Glasgow – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation.

The event will celebrate the life and legacy of William Rankine on the bi-centenary of his birth at the university where he was based. The conference brings together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps (RACHP).
Programme themes are:
  • Cooling and Heating refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine cycle, including compressors, heat transfer and exchanger, system/cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
  • Power Generation using organic fluids, comparing organic Rankine cycle to other power generation applications, expanders, heat transfer and exchangers, system/ cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
  • Working Fluids new fluids, fluid blends, environmental impact, performance analysis and comparisons, (both natural working fluids and fluorine-based refrigerants).

A  prize fund of £1,800 will be awarded to the best student papers presented and there is a discounted registration fee for students.

The event is expected to attract 300 delegates and 120 technical papers. More information and details of how to submit abstracts can be found here
