 | Authors have until September 20 to submit abstracts for presentation IIR International Rankine 2020 Conference in Glasgow – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation. The event will celebrate the life and legacy of William Rankine on the bi-centenary of his birth at the university where he was based. The conference brings together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps (RACHP). |
Programme themes are:
A prize fund of £1,800 will be awarded to the best student papers presented and there is a discounted registration fee for students.
The event is expected to attract 300 delegates and 120 technical papers. More information and details of how to submit abstracts can be found here.
- Cooling and Heating refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine cycle, including compressors, heat transfer and exchanger, system/cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
- Power Generation using organic fluids, comparing organic Rankine cycle to other power generation applications, expanders, heat transfer and exchangers, system/ cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
- Working Fluids new fluids, fluid blends, environmental impact, performance analysis and comparisons, (both natural working fluids and fluorine-based refrigerants).
