 | The latest Green Housing Forum, sponsored by Daikin UK, will be held in Watford on 13 March. Now an established event for social housing professionals, the discussion will focus on the ‘age of austerity’ and explore whether cost-led decision-making in the maintenance and specification of products has had a negative impact on the safety and well-being of residents. |
The forum will be hosted by LHC at the BRE Buildings in Watford. LHC brings buyers and suppliers in the market together, to build and maintain public property more efficiently and cost effectively. The event is designed for social housing professionals operating in asset management and sustainability roles. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to insightful presentations from a panel of experienced champions in the sector, before being invited to engage in a thought-provoking debate.
These keynote speakers will include Timothy James Oakley, a qualified architect and Head of Consultancy at LHC. With 21 years’ experience with the organisation Tim is well versed in the statutory and regulatory requirements of public sector tendering. He developed LHC’s policies on Construction Health and Safety, KPI Collection and Sustainability, and has contributed to publications for the Concrete Society and Guidance to Building Regulations.

Also speaking will be Bevan Jones, Managing Director of Sustainable Homes. Bevan has 13 years’ experience of working in sustainability in the public and private sectors. In this time he has contributed to a number of key studies and reports including the UK’s first Climate Risk Assessment.
Finally, Iain Bevan, Commercial Director for Heating & Renewables at Daikin UK, will be bringing to the event his extensive experience in delivering renewable heat solutions to a wide range of social housing projects.
