Pump House Sales Director Craig Peebles has left the business, almost 17 years after he founded the Nottingham-based company (briefly CP Pumps) with former colleague Paul Ludlow.

Dave Bass continues as Managing Director, with June Richardson promoted to Sales and Marketing Director responsible for all wholesale in the UK and Paul Greengrass appointed to the new role of Business Development Director looking after export, OEM, new product development, engineering and new markets.

Pump House thanked Craig for ‘creating and helping to grow a significant business within the industry’.

The condensate pump and ancillary product supplier was acquired by US supplier DiversiTech  in January 2016, formalising a long-standing partnership created through a joint venture established in 2006. There was a further change on 1 June this year when ownership of DiversiTech transferred to private equity firm Permira after an acquisition deal was struck with previous equity owner, The Jordan Company.

Craig’s last day at Pump House was on Friday and he admits it was an emotional affair. He said: “There were a few tears because it’s been such a big part of my life. There are some people there who were there with me from day one and it’s never easy to walk away from that sort of loyalty.

“I’ve had some wonderful times at Pump House and met some special people, both in the business and as customers. I’m a people person more than anything, that is the part that I enjoy most and it is certainly going to be one of the things I miss the most.’’

The close family ties with Pump House will remain, however, as Craig’s father, father-in-law and a nephew still work there.

“It’s a bit strange to think my Dad will still be there making deliveries at the age of 74 but it was the right time for me to go. It’s a wonderful opportunity to recharge the batteries, have a nice long summer break and see how I feel about things then.’’
