Air conditioning installer Coolair Equipment has strengthened its Midlands operation with the appointment of Mark Furlong as Project & Sales Engineer. Based at the Cannock office of the Manchester-based company, the former apprentice has 15 years’ experience in the mechanical services industry.

He was previously a freelance project manager involved in the design, procurement and sale of mechanical systems, including air conditioning.
Mark has worked on mechanical projects including the new £600m Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and project-managed the installation of air conditioning systems for Holiday Inn and Premier Inn hotels. He is currently working on a major air conditioning installation project for a new care village in Bedford, scheduled for completion in late 2018.

Neil Gibbard, Regional Director of Coolair Equipment Ltd, which also has an office in Maidstone, said: “Mark will help us build on our successful association with major developers, contractors and suppliers by developing relationships with new clients as well as managing new and existing projects.”

The Midlands office of Coolair recently secured orders for two retirement villages, a hotel and conference centre, a retail head office refurbishment, and a new vehicle operations centre.
