The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has recommended BESA and REFCOM head of technical Graeme Fox FInstR and M&S technical manager John Skelton FInstR as candidates for the position of president-elect.

They were selected by a nominating committee consisting of the current board members and past presidents, who considered 13 possible candidates against the role specification.

The role of the president-elect is to support current IOR president Mike Creamer in his role as chairman of the IOR board of trustees until he stands down the following year.

IOR members may also propose additional candidates for president-elect at any time up until noon on September 3, with forms available to download from the IOR website.

In addition, three nominations for the board of trustees have been received: Ian Fisher FInstR, Ana Catarina Marques FInstR and Clive Thornley MInstR.

Online voting for the two trustee vacancies and the president-elect post will open in October and voting members will receive an email with their voting code and a link to the voting website in October.

The results of both elections will be announced on November 4 at the IOR AGM.
