Contractors in Ireland are reminded that F-Gas and ODS certification awarded in the UK will no longer be recognised within the remaining EU states in the event of a no deal Brexit next month.
The Environmental Protection Agency guidance states that anyone affected needs to make a valid application before 11pm on October 31. Anyone issued with a UK certificate after a no deal withdrawal will be unable to follow this process, but would need to be certified by a certification body within the EU-27 such as the Irish certification body F-Gas Registration Ltd (companies) or QQI (individuals). In the case of individuals, this may involve further training.

Stephen Benton, from training provider Cool Concerns, said: "This is quite important as the majority of certificates issued in Ireland originate from UK awarding bodies. The application process is simple and takes about 5 minutes.''
