Adande Refrigeration’s Aircell open front Grab & Go cabinet has won the FCSI UK & Ireland Sustainable Catering Equipment Award 2017.

The judging panel felt that the Aircell cabinet had achieved excellence and innovation, demonstrating tight temperature control to keep food fresher for longer and delivering tangible energy savings.
FCSI Chairman Julian Edwards said: “Adande has brought an open front cabinet to the market which not only keeps food fresher for longer, reducing food wastage, but also achieves a significant reduction in energy consumption.”

The award comes less than a month after the unveiling of the company’s prototype ‘Crivat’ Aircell® refrigerated Grab & Go cabinet at the international HOST hospitality show in Milan, where it was well received by end users and OEMs.

Adande Sales Director Karl Hodgson said: “This prestigious award further endorses the credentials of Aircell open front, highlighting its tangible benefits for the display of chilled food to go in foodservice and convenience retailing operations. We are now preparing for the full commercial launch in the first quarter of 2018.”

The presentation came during the Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association (CESA) conference in Reading.
