Air Handling Units: Weatherite Keeps Marks and Spencer Shoppers Cool

The M&S Longbridge store now boasts four new Weatherite AHUs
Black Country-based bespoke air conditioning manufacturer, Weatherite, is keeping the M&S customers in its Longbridge department store cool, thanks to four new air handling units (AHUs).
​The 150,000 square foot, two storey Marks and Spencer store is on the £100m Longbridge town centre and former MG Rover site. Weatherite installed the four AHUs on the ground and first floor sales and staff areas. The company designed and made the AHUs at its West Bromwich factory. 

Weatherite won the contract, thought to be worth around £250K) when chosen by the M&E contractor, Woodward & Co. the contractor specialises in the building services design and installation for the retail and leisure sectors. 

Weatherite has a long history of working with M&S which spans over 30 years. In that time, Weatherite has installed and hundreds of air conditioning systems and air handling units in the retailers stores. The relationship is now crossing the channel into Holland where M&S is opening two new stores.
