Aermec UK is marking the United Nations World Youth Skills Day by welcoming the company’s first trainee in service, commissioning and warranties.
World Youth Skills Day (15 July) is a global initiative set up by the United Nations last year encouraging organisations to focus on youth by equipping the next generation of young people with essential skills for employment and a sustainable future.
Taylor King is the company’s second trainee to benefit from Aermec’s commitment to training the next generation of HVAC professionals and the first in service, commission and warranties. Last year the company took on Marshal Packer to work along engineers in the service division.
Aermec’s sales service, including commissioning and warranty, is expanding to meet customer needs and the company advocates nurturing talent and training the next generation of HVAC professionals who can address potential skills gaps in the industry.
“We need to keep driving the business forward and meet the needs of our customers, but we are also conscious of the skills gap in the HVAC industry. All businesses can play a part as there is a need for skilled professionals to help customers decarbonise and meet their net zero targets,” said Andy Hawes, Aermec’s General Manager Technical Services.
“By investing in the skills our business needs we are also investing in the HVAC industry, and we are pleased to support Taylor on her career path.”
