CAREL to buy US sensor specialist Senva

CAREL is to acquire US sensor manufacturer Senva. Established in 2007 and based in Beaverton, Oregon, Senva specialises in the design and production of sensors for the air conditioning and ventilation sectors, with a specific line dedicated to indoor air quality.

Senva, which has a workforce of approximately 65, posted revenues of revenues USD 12.7 million in 2021, up 24% year-on-year. The company is currently expanding to a larger production facility, including a new research laboratory.

Francesco Nalini, CEO of the CAREL Group, said: “We are very excited by the deal because it represents our first highly strategic acquisition in the Americas and further confirms our commitment to pursuing our growth objectives through M&A – a commitment that has significantly accelerated over the last 18 months.
