Ideal Heating has launched the heating industry’s first Lifetime Warranty for heat pumps, setting a new benchmark for long-term customer support and reinforcing its commitment to raising standards and building confidence across the low-carbon heating market.
Available exclusively on Ideal’s Logic Air heat pumps installed alongside an Ideal cylinder and Halo Air controls, the new proposition combines annual servicing, ongoing warranty and expert manufacturer support.
With information given to them through their Ideal installer, homeowners can sign up within six months of installation through a monthly subscription of £22.50, or an annual payment of £270, giving them access to ongoing manufacturer-backed support throughout the life of their heating system.
Importantly, the new proposition has been designed to support installers, not replace them.
Installers who want Ideal Heating to provide ongoing servicing and support can recommend Lifetime Warranty for their customers. Those who prefer to retain the servicing relationship themselves can continue to do so through Ideal Heating’s Extended Warranty options, ensuring they remain in control of their customer relationships while benefiting from the reassurance of manufacturer-backed support.
Adam Foy, Chief Executive Officer at Ideal Heating, said: “We didn’t want to launch just another warranty. We wanted to redefine what long-term ownership of a heat pump should look like.
“That’s why Lifetime Warranty is about much more than repairing a product if something goes wrong. It’s about ongoing care, expert support and giving installers and homeowners confidence throughout the lifetime of the system.
“The heating industry has spent years talking about giving homeowners confidence in heat pumps. We wanted to do something that genuinely moves that conversation forward.
“Lifetime Warranty is an industry-first. It gives homeowners the reassurance that their heat pump can be looked after by the people who designed and built it, while giving installers another powerful way to support their customers.
“This isn’t about taking away servicing from installers; in fact, it’s the opposite. It’s about standing behind them. Whether they choose to retain servicing themselves or use our Lifetime Care proposition, we’re giving them the confidence that comes from having the manufacturer alongside them for the lifetime of the product they’ve installed.”
Lifetime Warranty has been developed to support both the installer and developer markets.
For installers, it provides another option to offer homeowners manufacturer-backed long-term support, while Extended Warranty enables installers who wish to continue carrying out annual servicing to do so.
For housebuilders and developers, the proposition provides a simple route to ongoing care after handover, giving homeowners confidence that their Logic Air heat pump will continue to be supported by Ideal Heating long after they move in.
The launch forms part of Ideal Heating’s wider investment in low-carbon heating, including UK heat pump manufacturing, research and development, technical support, nationwide service infrastructure and Expert Academy training.
