Industry leaders in the heat pump sector are to gather at the British Library for the annual conference as HPA UK approaches its first anniversary as the newly merged association.

HPA UK has announced that tickets are now on public sale for its 2026 annual conference, titled, Driving the heat pump market: From ambition to delivery, with Paul Kenny, Director General of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), confirmed as a keynote speaker.
Taking place on 2nd December 2026 at the British Library, London, the conference will bring together policymakers, manufacturers, installers, and industry leaders from across the sector to discuss how the UK can accelerate heat pump deployment and turn ambition into action.
The event comes as HPA UK approaches its first anniversary following its launch in January 2026. Formed through the merger of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA), Heat Pump Association (HPA) and Heat Pump Federation (HPF), HPA UK provides a united voice for the heat pump sector with a clear mission to accelerate the deployment of heat pumps across the UK.
As one of Europe's leading voices on heat pump deployment, Paul Kenny will bring valuable insight into the policy, market and industry developments helping to drive growth across the continent.

Commenting on joining the conference as a keynote speaker, Paul said: “In the midst of an energy crisis and a shift towards electrification, we need to turn heat pump sector goals into tangible growth. Discussing successful policies is crucial to ensure European countries and the UK learn from each other to support consumers on their journey to clean secure heat. I’m delighted to join the 2026 conference of the Heat Pump Association UK to share and hear more about measures that drive the market.”

He will be joined by a line-up of speakers from across government and industry, including representatives from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Madeleine Gabriel (Nesta), Laura Sandys CBE (Chair of Electrify Industry), Ashley Southgate (UK Power Network), and other leading figures helping to shape the future of low-carbon heating.
Through a programme of presentations and panel discussions covering the optimisation of heat pumps in residential, commercial and industrial applications, attendees will explore the practical steps needed to scale heat pump adoption across the UK.
