Midsummer Energy, has suffered from a fire at its newest warehouse in Whittlesford.

“We are incredibly grateful that no one was harmed during the incident and wish to express our deepest thanks to Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service for their swift and courageous response in bringing the blaze under control.” said Midsummer’s CEO, Andy Rankin. “Our immediate priority is to minimise disruption to our customers while ensuring staff safety. Our business continuity plans were activated promptly, and we are confident we can continue to meet demand without significant delays.”

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the company is already taking decisive steps to maintain continuity of service. Fulfilment has been rerouted through other operational sites, including its Cambridge, Milton, and Glasgow distribution centres.

Midsummer Energy has grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of solar PV, battery storage products, and heat pump technology, with a strong reputation for reliability and service. The company has reassured its customers and suppliers that its core infrastructure remains intact and that all key services are operational.
