 | John Felgate, head of technical at Stiebel Eltron UK, has been appointed chairman of the Domestic Heat Pump Association (DHPA). The role will see Felgate – who has more than 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry – represent the DHPA in advising and lobbying the Department for Energy and Climate Change, providing industry insights to drive innovation and inform legislation in the future. |
The association – which is run and managed by the British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers Association (BEAMA) – was formed by the UK’s leading heat pump manufacturers. Its aim is to provide an outlet for the industry’s views and concerns in Whitehall.
Felgate said: “It is a great honour to be appointed chairman of the DHPA. The organisation serves a vital purpose in maintaining our industry’s influence on government legislation, which is more important than ever as we look towards a future outside the European Union.
“I am looking forward to working with my peers, industry colleagues and the government to develop policies that can position the UK as a world leader in renewable energy.”
