Daikin UK is now offering the LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Air Source Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits). The course is made up of two days’ training followed by a single assessment day, including an online multi-choice theory exam along with practical assessments.
The LCL Awards qualification is aimed at existing fossil fuel and heating engineers who are looking to add air source heat pump installation to their service offering or may be looking to transition over to heat pump installations on a more permanent basis. Upon course completion, the qualification proves full competence in the installation of these types of system and can be counted towards MCS accreditation.
The ultimate objective of the LCL Awards is to facilitate learners to demonstrate their competence in accordance with general industry standards, regulations and legislation.
Martin Passingham, department manager product and training at Daikin UK, said: “We are extremely pleased to announce further course dates throughout September, October and November 2022 for this incredibly important course. This training ensures that plumbers and engineers are fully upskilled in the installation and maintenance of air source heat pumps. It is vital that the industry looks towards these heat pump solutions as we strive to use fewer fossil fuels, ultimately, to help the UK achieve its target of net-zero by 2050, and legislation suggests that the time has never been better to undertake this training.”
