Daikin, has expanded its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentation series, with the addition of a new course that delves into the detail of the Building Safety Act.
The Grenfell Tower tragedy brought the critical issues of safety and supply chain accountability into sharp focus, with the subsequent independent review by Dame Judith Hackitt DBE resulting in tightened legislation. Daikin’s new CPD module, ‘The Building Safety Act: What Does it Change for the Building Industry’, takes a closer look at the key developments and, in particular, how they will affect the HVAC aspects of a project.
The CPD covers: the background to the changes; how to identify ‘high risk’ buildings; new roles and responsibilities; the new Golden Thread; the new Gateways systems; and how to identify the right HVAC partner.
The CPD material has been rigorously assessed by The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and contributes towards CIBSE accredited engineers’ mandatory CPD requirements.
"The legislative changes that have been brought about following the Building Safety Act are among the most significant changes to affect the Building Regulations for quite some years," said Matteo Dall’Ombra, Daikin’s National Specification Manager. "By providing accessible, expert-led training on this vital topic, we're equipping installers, engineers, consultants and facilities managers with the knowledge they need to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape and support their clients’ net zero goals."
The presentation joins Daikin's established collection of CPD modules, that have become a valued resource for HVAC professionals seeking to enhance their expertise and to maintain their accreditation. Each module, lasting one hour, incorporates the latest legislation and can be held at a venue of your choice.
The new CPD addition further reflects Daikin's ongoing commitment to providing a complete service to its commercial partners, sharing the latest insights and up-to-date knowledge, alongside a full package of technical support and training.
