Iconic ice cream brand Mr Whippy has partnered with Starfrost to provide a cooling system for its new production line as it prepares for a major product launch.
As part of a multimillion-pound investment in its new Sheffield-based production facility, Mr Whippy has ordered an automated cooling system from Starfrost as it adds premium doughnut products to its range in summer 2026. The Helix spiral cooling system is designed for precise temperature control and rapid, uniform cooling, ensuring that the new range consistently meets the highest quality standards.
As part of the project, Star Refrigeration, parent company of Starfrost, will also supply a CO₂ refrigeration plant designed to optimise energy efficiency and performance throughout the year. Using natural refrigerant CO aligns with Mr Whippy’s sustainability goals by offering a low-carbon, future-proof solution.
