Panasonic Jet Air Stream units are keeping visitors comfortable at an indoor adventure and trampoline park in Gloucester.
When AirHop prepared to open a new 25,000 sq ft venue in a high-ceilinged warehouse, it needed a reliable and energy-efficient climate control solution. Panasonic Pro Partner Aura Air Conditioning supplied and installed the seven Jet Air Stream 25kW units.
Jet Air Stream Smart models are designed to ensure optimal comfort by preventing heat loss. Nozzle movements adapt dynamically to incoming air temperature, preventing stratification and maintaining an ideal temperature exclusively in the occupied area.
AirHop Gloucester’s opening this summer coincided with a 33°C heatwave, providing a real-world performance test for the new system from day one.
Dylan Southern, Projects Manager at AirHop, said: “The units were really put to the test during our opening week in the extreme heat. We were impressed with their performance and the comfortable environment they maintained for visitors.”
The indoor units offer high air distribution for large spaces such as sports halls, warehouses and industrial commercial spaces. Its smart jet self-directing nozzles offer ideal temperature control and maintenance to the specified area. The units are customisable, coming in three variations and two capacities (14 and 25kW), with the ability to be linked to an overarching BMS system. They provide an appropriate energy-saving solution, with a long maximum air throw distance of 30m and high air volume up to 5.000m³/h.
Although installation required scaffold towers to reach the mounting points, the project ran smoothly and was completed on schedule. Lee Brownlie, from Aura Air Conditioning, said: “The Panasonic units met the brief perfectly: energy-efficient, cost-effective and fast cooling. Panasonic’s customer service was outstanding throughout the project, particularly from Ross Gerrard, our Panasonic Account Manager. We plan on placing more orders to install at AirHop’s upcoming Tunbridge Wells and Nottingham sites.”
For Nottingham’s larger venue, Aura also plans to install Panasonic VRF split systems for the dining area, providing a complete climate control solution.
