A private equity investment from 3i PLC in 2015 has enabled Aspen to make key business acquisitions in France, Germany, Australia and, most recently, in the UK with JAVAC and Advanced Engineering. The company says this has allowed it to better service customers in core markets with stock on the ground and territory based sales managers, making the company a key player in the international HVAC/R market.
Aspen says its drive for innovation, expert knowledge of the industry, investment in its people and commitment to customers have seen the business thrive, trading in over 100 countries worldwide with business premises on four continents.
CEO Adrian Thompson said: “Winning a third Queen’s Award is a huge achievement for Aspen Pumps and is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone in the group. A relentless focus on innovation and excellent customer relations have been the cornerstone of our success. We have an outstanding team and I am immensely proud that every facet of the business has contributed to winning this award.”
Coventry-based copper specialist Lawton Tube also received an International Trade award, and both companies will celebrate at a royal reception in the summer.
