PAD was established in March this year as the first UK distributor for relaunched Chinese air conditioning brand Haier.
“Reflecting Hitachi’s own founding principles, Pure Air Distribution are committed to delivering air conditioning excellence and exceeding customer expectations, and we look forward to building a long-standing and beneficial business relationship with them.’’
PAD will offer the full range of Hitachi air conditioning products nationwide, alongside their own dedicated UK pre and post sales technical support.
Mark Houghton, Managing Director, Pure Air Distribution, said: “We are delighted to be partnering such a forward thinking manufacturer, which offers quality products coupled with a commitment to outstanding customer service. The PAD team is extremely excited about this new opportunity.”
Haier confirmed the end of the partnership with PAD and said: “The distribution agreement commenced in March of this year as part of Haier’s ‘soft start’ return to the UK market whilst the next generation of UK focused products were being developed ready for introduction in 2018.
“However, it became clear that the timescale of the Haier plans and the expectation of the PAD team were somewhat different. This has led to disappointment upon both sides and PAD has made the decision to sign a distribution agreement with Hitachi as well as look for other alternatives which may be able to better meet its expectation levels.
“The reaction to the quality of the Haier product has been very pleasing with numerous satisfied customers and Haier remain focused upon its commitment to the UK market. This is evident in showing the entire range (including the new MRV-V product) at the HVACR show at the excel in January, offering a standard 6-year warranty, as well as other exciting product developments.
“Haier wishes PAD well in its future trading and will continue to support its warranty commitments from this year.’’
