FG Europe (FGE) has strengthened its Midea sales team as part of growth plans for  the UK market.

Neil Panting joins as Business Development Manager for the South West of England and the company says it is now looking to fill similar positions in the Midlands, North West and Scotland.
Neil has experience in both contractor and distribution sales from his time at Fujitsu and the Wolseley Group. He said: “FGE has a lot to offer the UK market and I am excited by the drive and ambition of a company that has found a way of winning in every new territory it has sold into. The fact that FGE has given 10-year warranties and superb levels of support on Midea products across Europe for many years demonstrates the longevity of both the company and equipment. The Midea product, strategy for the UK and support structure of this business is built for long term success and I hope to play a big part in its further growth.”

David Dunn joins as Business Support Apprentice and is focused on understanding the UK market and the business operation whilst developing a successful career within the HVAC industry. He said: “When I found out about the opportunity of an apprenticeship in the HVAC industry and met the team at FGE, I was really excited about being able to learn and hopefully help support this business. I couldn’t wait to get started.”

Steve Robinson, UK and Ireland Sales Manager, said: “This is another great day for FGE. We are delighted to welcome both David and Neil to our team. FG Europe is a huge organisation now in its 60th year and the UK market has been on its radar for a long time. Further investment will continue to enable the levels of success enjoyed in other European territories.

“David’s appointment is particularly fitting as it is National Apprenticeship Week. It is fantastic that we are able to reinvest in the future of an industry that has seen a falling number of trainee opportunities. I really hope this is a very memorable day for David and, with the right level of commitment, he can enjoy a long career in a rewarding industry.
