Mark Henderson opens the FSW 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner
FSW, the air conditioning and refrigeration wholesaler, celebrated its 50th anniversary in style with 150 customers and suppliers at its gala dinner at The Belfry on 19th November.
The dinner marked the end of its Golden Anniversary year of promotions and events, with Fred MacAulay, entertaining the guests with his quick wit and observational humour. Over the last year, FSW ran a number of rewards events including track days, racing and golf days, as well as its customer points program based on purchases.

FSW Group Chairman, Dermot Byrne, addressed the audience with a speech talking about the origins of the business, its highs and lows, humour and challenges since starting in Ireland in the 1960s. He also highlighted the main FSW differentiator in the market, namely that the business is a 'technical wholesaler in the engineering business', helping customers solve problems with their knowledge and experience.

Dermot Byrne thanked his customers, saying:
“Without customers, we are nothing. Thank you to you all.”
Commercial Director, Mark Henderson also noted that the company's longevity was also down to many loyal employees who had been with the business for decades. Their loyalty was recognised and rewarded with gifts and certificates. Neville Kay has been with FSW for 25 years;Tony Evans, 25 years; Adrian Wigley, working from the Cannock warehouse, 26 years; Rob Littler, Cannock warehouse general manager, 30 years; Karen Riggan, company secretary, 31 years.

The guests raised £1,350 on the night for the charity, Marie Curie.
