Manchester-based Coolair Equipment has donated new air conditioning equipment following a plea for help from a charity for disadvantaged youngsters. Coolair teamed up with property maintenance partner Integral UK to support a youth centre run by the Cathie Stankevitch Foundation in Widnes.
Without this support, the charity would have been unable to afford to keep the building cool in summer and warm in winter and ensure the comfort of the 90 to 110 members that take part in youth club sessions each week.
Clients, consultants and employees of Cannock-based air conditioning installer Coolair Equipment have raised more than £80,000 for a cancer charity by cycling 300 miles through South East Asia.
Coolair Regional Director Neil Gibbard led the 17-strong group on the six-day journey from Saigon in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia in aid of Challenge Cancer UK.
