AirSource makes its systems for clients in the healthcare, education, retails and hotel sectors. The company has bought and installed a new press punch machine and test unit at its factory near Manchester.
In addition to the punch press, the firm invested £30,000 in a new test rig, one of its own Tempair 33T heat pumps, which can deliver a variable volume of up to 2.7m³/s. The test rig enables them to test and develop new parts, provide hands-on commissioning training for engineers, as well as check and demonstrate their equipment to clients.
AirSource MD, Dave Clayton said:
"The investment in the punch press and the test rig demonstrates our commitment to future expansion, training and innovation and to the successful development of products for the building services market. It will help us dramatically improve our efficiency, particularly in the areas of quality, accuracy and productivity."
