Chemours, the US refrigerant manufacturing giant, has announced that it has improved its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecast across its Opteon range of products by eight per cent.
The Delaware based firm says that its low global warming potential (GWP) products will now eliminate around 325 millions CO2 tons equivalent by 2025 globally.
Paul Kirsch, president of Chemours Fluoroproducts, said:
“Chemours fully supports the continued effort to reduce the use and emissions of high GWP HFCs. We believe that our portfolio of Opteon low GWP solutions provides the industry with a clear path forward when it comes to transitioning to more sustainable alternatives, without reducing performance.”
