ECEX access safety guide

Engineering contractor ECEX has published a free guide to safe and effective site access.

Access all areas explains how access is a critical contributory factor to the safety of building services engineers and maintenance teams who install and service plant on roofs and other areas.

It describes how to assess the risk and select appropriate access equipment as well as outlining relevant legislation and explaining EN 1090, a mandatory standard for any organisation that designs and/or manufactures structural/construction steel or aluminium components such as pipework step-overs, platforms and railings, walkways and gantries, and access staircases. It also contains a comprehensive contact list of useful organisations.
John Grenville, Managing Director of ECEX, said: "ECEX has a wealth of experience and expertise in creating effective access solutions developed over many years, so we are well placed to offer the best help and advice available on the topic.
"ECEX employs a team of highly skilled metalwork fabricators operating from its workshop in Newbury who can survey and design bespoke metalwork solutions, whatever the issue. We offer free site assessments and quotations tailored to customers' needs.
"Whether you require an access ladder, platform, gantry or roof edge guardrailings, our experts can survey, quote, manufacture, install, modify or refurbish access safety equipment as required."
