Having recently attended the ACR Trainee of the Year Awards on the 8th of December held at the Belfry Golf Resort, Sutton Coldfield, a prestigious event celebrating student success and contribution to the Industry.
I would like to say a very big thank you to the event organisers, ACR Journal who once again made the whole event extremely enjoyable. Having regular finalists at this event is something that we as a training centre feel very passionately about.
But then success isn’t just down to our structured learning programmes, but with full support from their companies and a mentoring and support mechanism so vital in assisting the apprentices to fulfil their potential. Their success was a testament to hard work, co-operative company’s and most importantly companies who care. I would also like to add that the sponsors of the event are to be applauded, without full Industry backing this event wouldn’t be the success it is today.
Congratulation’s to every finalist and for those company’s thinking should we nominate and support then please do so. As your young engineers are the future of the ACR Industry. Our Industry is at the forefront of technology advancements in carbon reduction and these young engineers are the ones who will be driving these technologies and advancements forward. So let’s sing their praises and celebrate their success next year and beyond and give them the opportunity to contribute to their Industry.
