Companies at the event were Practical Refrigeration Training Centre, East Lancashire Refrigeration Training Centre, Acme Facilities Group and T2000 Ltd.
"These much anticipated event was showcased as a “Jobs event “. Practical Refrigeration Training Centre and supportive employers collaboratively engaged with youngsters from the North West area, with parents in close attendance. We provided informative advice and guidance on Refrigeration & Air conditioning pathways."
Ian Cross continued:
"As well as continuing to support and engage the next generation we are also collaboratively planning employer forums to educate, inform, discuss and debate training requirements and needs with RAC businesses in the North West area and further afield."
"We have supported this event for many years and find it a real benefit to connect and engage with local talent. Supporting events like this has resulted in our company recruiting enthusiastic employees who have had in some cases little exposure to our industry and it has also helped interested recruits bring themselves to the attention of employers."
"Being part of an industry which year on year actively promotes the development of apprentices through the professional training organisations, such as T2000 Ltd and Practical Refrigeration Training Centre, it was important to us to be physically seen by the students and their parents.
"The events give them a feel for the different approaches each company takes to training, and the on-going prospects within those companies. We meet interesting students many of whom were looking for guidance and confidence to commit, which hopefully this event achieved."
"We have held the jobs events at T2000 for about 20 years to provide young people with information, advice and guidance to support them to make a career choice. The event is supported by employers, apprentices and ex- industry staff to provide a wide range of knowledge and experience from across a wider range of sectors.
