Steve Gill, the refrigeration energy efficiency expert of Stephen Gill Associates, from Derby has won the 'Gold Stevie' in the 'Customer Service or Call Center Consulting Practice of the Year' beating logistics giant, FedEx into second place.
The gala dinner is a lavish event held in the enormous Ballagio hotel in the desert city. It is a fitting location for a sales and customer service awards event where both skills are at their highest in the most famous gambling and party location in the world. The show is broadcast live on the radio across America with a video later on.
"To win a Gold Stevie is a huge honour and against such mighty competition makes this even more remarkable. The gala dinner sparkled with senior executives from service companies and successful entrepreneurs from around the globe. It was an amazing event.
"Customer service is cherished and highly valued by many service industries so for the ACR Industry to come out tops evaluates the profile of the whole industry."
"On a business level, it means a lot to win as customer service is something that I value highly. The award also holds personal significance. My mother who died exactly a year ago had the foresight to call me Stephen (very appropriate for this Award) and often referred to me as Stevie. Privately, I dedicated the Award to her."
"I arrived almost straight from the IOR Dinner in London. Thursday night in London is good, but Friday night in Vegas takes some beating."
"I really didn’t expect to win and was so totally lost for words when the Award was announced. Great result, no, an amazing result. I am still pinching myself. It just shows what is possible for our industry and those working within it if we put our minds to it."
The ACR Journal is delighted that Steve won. Steve is a keen advocate of the industry and has done extremely well to win the award. We look forward to hearing more from him on his return.
