Eurovent, the European industry association, has published a new testing standard for measuring residential air filters.
The ‘Eurovent 4/22 – 2015’ standard applies to filters which have an air flow between 70 to 1000 m³/h. This fills a current standards ISO and EN gap as well as a future gap. The Eurovent standard covers the upcoming ISO 16890 ('Air filters for general ventilation).
“The new testing method will bring clarity to the market by covering an area that had so far not been fully covered by ISO or EN standards.”
“The industry recommendation will contribute to a level-playing field through ensuring comparable test results that are based on the same testing method.”
