Dearman, the company that invented the Dearman Engine, has taken on its first engineering apprentice, Cameron Douglas.
Cameron will work for the 'clean cold technology' business for four days a week and will spend a day a week at Kingston College in Surrey. Dearman's new apprentice will work on development, testing and machining.
“I’m happy to have joined the team here at Dearman – there’s lots to learn and the technology is developing really quickly, so there are lots of opportunities to learn something new. I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I was keen to study and work at the same time. I’ve already had the opportunity to see how the testing is run and I’m looking forward to working with the next generation of Dearman engines when they come online.”
