Airedale had to move out of its home after suffering a major fire at its headquarters just outside Leeds in September 2013. The company has moved back stage by stage from its temporary home to the rebuilt factory, but it complete its move in January.
The company has invested in new capital equipment which will help to make its operation more efficient than before the fire. The site has an up to date research and development lab where they can test systems up to 2 megawatts.
The setback of the fire in 2013 has not stopped the company from producing cooling solutions for its clients. In fact, Airedale has won several industry awards in the meantime.
Clive Parkman, Airedales' managing director stated:
“With more than 600 people employed by the group in the UK, South Africa and Dubai, jobs and livelihoods depended on our ability to overcome the significant challenges that faced us in September 2013. I would like to thank our workforce, customers and suppliers for their loyalty to the business.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors to our new facility next year.”
