The Aircell system controls air flow in open front, multi-deck retail refrigeration cabinets more closely, according to Adande, than conventional cabinets.
Adande commissioned Refrigeration Developments & Testing Ltd (RD&T) to look at how a 2500mm open front multi deck cabinet compared with an identical unit using the Adande Aircell system.
The results showed that the standard cabinet used 57.61 kW/24h compared to the cabinet fitted with Aircell used 27.41 kWh/24h. The Aircell used over 50% less energy.
RD&T also measured the temperature control range, which showed that the standard cabinet varied by 7.7 degrees C, against the Aircell unit which varied by 3.2 degrees C.
Adande MD, Ian Wood said:
“We believe that the results for the cabinet incorporating Aircell demonstrate the lowest energy consumption figures and the tightest temperature control seen on an open front refrigerated multi deck cabinet of this type.”
